The lowerst part of Redcar sea defencences are the Zetland Park slipway. The weekend tide on the 8th of April 2005 reached over the sea wall without a storm behind it The Environmental Agencies have published a map which shows the extent of the impending flood zone once the sea gets over the wall. This map will show what will happen
The sea with a Nor Easterly wind will drive the water over the wall wave by wave. This will flow across the Zetland Park roundabout as witnessed in 1978 and into Zetland Park.
It is down hill from the Zetland Park gates across the Park extension and down under Redcar East Halt Road pass.
The Property up to Greelands Road across to Ingsfarm school including Warwick Road and the houses fronting Redcar Lane including Ryhills School are all equal with the level of Redcar Beach.
Therefore once the water gets over the sea wall it will stay there due to the ability of the drains not being able take the water away.
